(SU3) Pilatus PC-12 NGX - Cockpit Controls Unresponsive

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

Since SU3, I have flown two career mode flights in the PC-12 NGX and both times I have been unable to use the mouse to click on various controls, switches and buttons in the cockpit. Particularly but not exclusively, the Throttle Lever, Flaps Lever, and PROP LOW SPEED button as well as the Parking Brake.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you?

Every flight in this aircraft so far.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Open career mode (Freelance) and fly PC-12 NGX Air Ambulance flight.

  2. Take off from departure airport and follow checklist as normal.

  3. Observe inability to manually adjust the Parking Brake, throttle and flaps levers, or the PROP LOW SPEED button with mouse left click.

  4. Verify ability to manually use other cockpit instrument buttons with mouse left click such as the PFD and MFD buttons.

Perfect. It’s not just me then.

I also began having this trouble after SU3, specifically with the PC12. For me, this only seemed to affect the parking brake and prop low speed mode select button.

Both were clickable/operable within the cockpit on SU2. After installing SU3, neither can be clicked.

I did find that the update seems to have assigned some random bindings to my Honeycomb Bravo throttle. One of these was “set parking brake”, which I had never manually assigned before- always toggle.

After clearing any “brake” related keybinds from my keyboard, throttle, or yoke and saving, I found the physical parking brake lever in the PC12 was still not clickable, but was now at least highlighted in blue when in career mode.

I then went back into settings and set toggle parking brakes back to the default keybind for keyboard: shift+space. Saved and returned to the cockpit and though still not clickable, the keybind did begin to work again.

Unfortunately, I haven’t had such luck with the prop low speed button. There doesn’t seem to be any available keybind for anything by this name within settings, so instead I cleared any keybinds for prop angle, as this functionality seems to be correlated to what this mode does in the PC12.

Then did the same tests as with the parking brake lever, but still have not been able to find a fix for this one.

At least the cabin pressurization bug is fixed

Thanks for contributing.

I hadn’t realised the pressurisation was fixed. So does that mean I can fly above 17,000ft now in career mode?

That is correct! Haven’t gone above FL240/250 in career, but that’s my general cruise altitude since SU3 and no hypoxia yet lol. Tbh I’m not sure what the service ceiling in MSFS2024 is for the PC12, but should be good to go!

I just read that the bug isn’t fixed as such, but instead, they’ve removed the mechanic altogether. Not sure whether or not that is true though.

Hey! Same out here. You can access them by getting behind.

This works as a temporary measure for Low Prop Speed, I guess, but the rest is impractical for flight.
