I am not able to start a flight anymore since yesterday, the loading screen stays on forever.
I tried renaming/moving my Community folder but nothing changes.
Any suggestions?

Yes, search for “stuck on checking for updates” in this forum and there are lots of posts with the general steps to try and in what order. I had this happen for the first time yesterday and did a few of the steps (they do things like delete certain files, reset your Xbox login, etc) and it worked. There are like 6 or 7 things that Microsoft recommends from their zen desk FAQ or you can find them in posts on this forum. Here’s the zen desk steps that I used to solve it.

thank you for your answer but I am not stuck checking for updates.
I enter the game, pick an aiport, pick an airplane and hit “Fly”.
then it gets stuck.

Same issue too! I assume may be to do with reinstalling my original community folder! I may try the tiresome process of reloading folders one by one til the culprit is found unless there is a quicker way! Love these update weeks!,
nope, went to do more productive things like watching paint dry 
I removed the Community folder and replaced with a completely empty one, cleaned Content.xml but the issue persists.
it seems to not be related to community.
Had same issue (stuck at 100% loading), removed the mod Bijan Studio – Four Season Pack (including tree mod included in the package), works fine now.
Check also if you have mod files in the Official folder - like tree distance tweaks ?
thanks for your help. Right now I am re-downloading the entire Official folder, the culprit seems to be in that one indeed.
as for the addons, they are all in community but the game is failing to load also without community so the smoking gun must be elsewhere, probably in Official (which was pristine and never modified)
so, I tried everything.
reinstall complete Official folder and the world updates.
community folder is empty.
app reset from windows preferences.
still not working.

I am having that too. I do use the season mod, too, but not sure it is responsible for that. Sometimes it does load WITH it, sometimes it doesn’t WITHOUT it. So no clear pattern here…
the pattern is clear.
buy a console.
“simulate” from the couch and take screenshots to post on social media.
that’s the direction here.
I can load in the USA and Ireland - but I cant in any place in England atm…Insane…These updates are worthless if every time we end up with MAJOR issues…I am also having issue with the ILS in Europe as well - wont pick it up.
I found something that finally made me load a flight.
it’s the ■■■■■■■multiplayer option.
General Options → Data → multiplayer → set to ■■■■■■■off.
now I can load flights.
other bugs remain, visual quality is awful but at least I can load a â– â– â– â– â– â– â– flight.
What else can I do ???
I’m after another clean MSFS install.
I cannot start the program.
I have a constantly black screen and a “Plum, plum” sound every few seconds.
Most of you at least manage to launch the game.
at what stage are you blocked? during game startup or when starting a flight?
As soon as I run MSFS. A black window “Microsoft Flight Simulator - 1.18.13.0” appears and the program hangs.
In the control panel, I noticed that I have 3 MSFS program:
I’m afraid to remove because I don’t know which one.
Same here … can load flights in US but nothing around London, just freezes on loading screen.
I resolved it by disabling multiplayer in General Options → Data, see above.
proceed as usual:
- rename community folder and start from clean
- disable data functions in General Options
- start flight with a default airplane and clean weather, no AI, etc.
For me none of that works in England or Denmark…I still cant load. But I just loaded from Dublin no problem - probably a conflict somewhere in my marketplace purchases but I will dam***** if I am going to uninstall all of my marketplace items to find it…
