So now on the live weather tab is METAR information which is the real life latest weather report (not forecast).

The ATIS is supposed to quote the METAR yet is still stuck with the stupid DEWPOINT 10 everywhere, anytime. Which would in real life mean everywhere at or below temperature 10 would shrowded in endless fog which is a lie. In real life the temp dewpoint spread also gives you a clue on whether you’d need to keep pitot heat on or not, seeing as ATIS and METAR do not quote humidity.

I was hoping weather would be more lifelike but it just seems a gimmicky little tab which is of no use and ATIS cloud height mismatches the METAR. Furthermore the METAR pressure is given in QNH and the sim uses In. Hg regardless of whether you choose Hybdrid or Metric in the general options tab. A METAR that bears no resemblance to ATIS and pressure information that isn’t in the units the altimeters in the sim use.
Maybe the easier thing to do would be to use the QNH by default instead of In. Hg.

:compass: In real life pilots do not pull out calculators to convert QNH before they can set their altimeters. :hourglass:

Are any of the developers pilots, consult with pilots or have ever flown a plane? Maybe but if that’s the case why isn’t QNH for altimeters and accurate temperature and dewpoint a priority?

Still no pushback at LOWI, TLPL, EGHQ and several major international airports because every gate is GA yet tons of toy racing planes just added to marketplace.

In a SIM important elements such as weather need to be perfected as simple basics yet they’ve been ommited in Sim Update 7, despite lots of development time obviously been spent on other revenue generating toy elements. :weary:

Someone can say when something as simple as setting QNH on an altimeter will happen?

43GB Update and seemingly very few changes to my game…aside from new Marketplace payware.

Who has need for a complex Mach 2 fighter jet if they can’t even read a METAR and set altimeters in a Cessna 152? :joy::rofl::sob:

I’m available to be a consultant to improve the sim to be more lifelike. Hire me - this sim has so much potential.

@HeliSimmer If you go into options>assistance>user experience there will be an option there to turn off the cockpit HUD:

All assistance setting were re-set to easy it appears and will need to be re-adjusted to each users’ own tastes.
