ISSUE DESCRIPTION
When using a digital button binding for rudder or breaks on PS5 (DualSense controller), the inputs occasionally gets stuck. The button press is registered by the sim but the release event is not, causing the input to remain applied indefinitely. The issue manifests as the aircraft applies full input while the buttons were already released. Repeatedly pressing and releasing the brake button eventually clears the stuck state. I validated that this is not a hardware issue. The controller is functioning correctly and the same input works normally most of the time.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
Intermittent. Occurs most commonly during taxi (before takeoff and after landing when taxiing to parking) and during the descent phase of flight. Cannot be reliably reproduced on demand. The aircraft doesn’t seem to matter as I had the same issue with C172, C208, SF50. I flew mainly these planes. My PS5, controller, and the game is up to date.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
I tried consistently reproduce this, but I’m not able to do that.
- Launch MSFS 2024 on PS5 with a DualSense controller
- Fly a full flight including descent and taxi phases
- Apply sudden rudder when fyling or taxiing, or a sudden break when decelerating the aircraft after landing.
- Observe that occasionally the rudder input or brake remains applied after releasing the button
- Press and release the buttons multiple times to clear the stuck state (usually it clears in ~1 minute)
YOUR SETTINGS
If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.
The issue still occurs. I don’t use any add-ons or mods as on PS5 I can’t use any.
MEDIA
I can’t share a screenshot or recording, but I will attach next time if I don’t forget to record.
