Suggestion for better DRM - Digital Ownership

Following Xbox live issues a lot of us are now unable to access the sim and are getting either the dreaded ‘Please insert game disc’ message for a digital download version.

Frankly, it’s a very poor design choice to have the sim fail to load as soon as the server goes down…

Please review your DRM process so that the user can at least continue to use the game during server outages without the need for constant internet connection upon launch.

Eg. Have the DRM system “phone home” after a 3- day period or the next time you log into MSFS with a valid internet connection. (similar to DCS World)

Please consider implementing a better, less restrictive system!

Sylvain

Completely agree. I have the premium deluxe edition which cost over £100 so it’s unacceptable that as soon as the server fails I can’t use MSFS.

I accept that it’s not the flight sim teams fault but something needs to be implemented to allow users to continue using a game that they paid for.

Perhaps something such as the sim allows the user to use the software for 24 hours before trying to recheck the licence would do the trick.

I guess this isn’t ever going to be changed is it?
