This might related to certain graphic settings level. Posting your graphic settings might help for the team to reproduce it.

Reproduced, it can’t be seen in all angles, now looks more like a reflection of the sun I guess, which isn’t so bad but still seem a little unrealistic :
However this is not related to settings, the same appears in both ends of the settings scale:

Those are mountains/hills in the way of the sun right ? So yes - then even if it was a reflection, it should not show through the mountain like that

Since the reflection is showing through the mountains, it almost seems to be related to the horizon showing through terrain bug that has been here since release.

I see that all the time, Im pretty sure I posted a few in the what did you do today thread. But yeah you dont really notice it unless you take a moment or two to look at the scenery, and then you realize hey that aint right.
