Support for rear buttons on Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller

I bought the (crazy pricey) Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, and do not see support for mapping the four rear buttons.

I am able to map the buttons to A/B/X/Y or anything else on the controller. However, I want to leave them unmapped in the Xbox Accessories utility, and subsequently map them in FS2020 to ex. Flaps or Gear or Transponder.

Will the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller be supported?

I’m also using the XBox Elite Series 2 Controller and mine was automatically recognized and configured by the game. LT/RT are mapped to the Left/Right Rudders and LB/RB are automatically mapped to the Landing Flaps In/Out.

Do you have profiles running on the Controller? Is the firmware up to date? Have you tried to re-connect?

Yeah same experience here - the base controls were automatically mapped to RT/LT RB/LB as you described.

BUT - what about the four paddle buttons on the back of the controller? I want to map those for some of the aircraft auxiliaries such as lights or fuel switch or transponder.

Do the triggers actually work properly analog on the elite controller?
Because they don’t on the standard XB1 controller.

This is what I am running into now… I bought this controller assuming I can use the paddles (p1-p4) to control flaps and other stuff.. but the paddle buttons are not supported. BOOOO!

same here. And the first posts are over a year ago and for PC. Sadly as of today the Elite 2 is also not supported on Xbox - at least not the paddles. Would be so great to have those extra buttons to be configured within MSFS

What I would like to know, is that will the Xbox Controller Elite 2, help me with flying/controlling the V-22 Osprey, F-35B, AV-8 Harrier, etc…? Appreciate the advice!

Switch the paddles to keyboard keys or combinations, then map those keys in FS to actions. Problem solved.

The elite 2 will allow you to re-map buttons to “shift” mod, which will open up a TON of new keys on your controller. For example, use left top paddle as a shift mod, and then remap your Y button shift mod to some keyboard command. So when you press left top paddle + Y button, you will get a different key.

I thought I’ve been quite advanced with managing my Elite 2 (which I adore btw). But this is totally new. Thanks!
