It was working fine, but now all of a sudden, the toggle between Cockpit and External view does not work. While in the external view, pressing the button flashes the cockpit view for a fraction of a second and goes back to external view. And while in the Cockpit view, pressing the button does nothing. This is for the setting called “Cockpit/External View Mode” under “Camera Mode Switches” category.
I am not sure if something I did caused it. I have gone into Settings and cleared the joystick mappings and reassigned to different keys to test but get the same result. I am wondering if I messed something up in mappings or settings but am not able to pinpoint anything.
Keyboard shortcut (backspace) also doesn’t work, neither do 3 different controllers that I tried, all experiencing the same flashing effect. Appreciate any advice.

I have nearly the same problem.
Initially, setting the toggle External View worked, switching between cockpit and external views.
After I did a config setting reset, the toggle no longer works. Doesn’t matter which keyboard or controller key I have the toggle set to, it only works one way: from Cockpit view to External view. It doesn’t toggle back to the cockpit view at all.
How did you do the configuration reset? I will try mine.
Very weird problem, I hope there is a fix. I am thinking to uninstall and reinstall the sim if nothing works.
I deleted all my mapping profiles and just used the default ones but still get the glitchy experience as above.
My workaround for now is to map 2 buttons, one to enable the cockpit view, and the other to enable le the external view.
General Settings → Camera ->CockpitCamera-> Set
Switch HomeCockpit to OFF

FalconDriver998 a big thankyou, I have been tearing my hair out for over 30 hours trying to resolve this problem and other camera settings, perhaps I can now get on and enjoy the sim. Microsoft have produced a great looking sim it’s a pity that they didn’t publicize this simple solution it would have saved a lot of wasted effort.
Use Camera->Camera Mode Switches->Cockpit/External View Mode
Camera functionality is not working for me. I’m wondering if my only solution is to re-install FS2024.
I found Settings General Camera but no choice Camera Mode Switches. Are you in 2020?
On my keyboard, the key “End” correctly toggles from cockpit to external.
Also I found that my Cessna 408 sky courier responds correctly to the toggle external view binding but the NXCub does not. NXCub does respond correctly to “End” key as does the 408.
