Switching from Gamepass to permanent installation

I currently have FS2024 installed on my PC via Gamepass, because I wanted to trial how it worked after SU4 without shelling out for the full cost. It works well, and I would now like to stop Gamepass and just buy the full game, via the XBox app.

However, can I just seamlessly switch without it affecting my installation, or will I need to reinstall afresh and therefore lose all my careful setups that I have been configuring? If I buy the game in the app and then cancel Gamepass, will it just keep going like nothing’s happened or will that confuse it?

I did the same, don’t recall any issues.

As long as you continue to use your username, which is how MS recognises your account, you won’t see any difference.
