System load very high during download/update

I am using the PC version from the MS store. Everytime an update is being downloaded in the startscreen, system load is very high GPU (RTX 3090) @60% and CPU (i7-5390k) @30%. Depending on the size of the update and download speed this can take up to several hours. This is a huge waste of energy consumed for nothing.

I wonder what is being rendered behind that screenshot while the application is simply downloading data?

Also in the main menu GPU @99%! and CPU @30% loads are unnecessary high. I know there is the hangar scene rendered in the background. But I wished there was an option to turn it off and simply have a screenshot instead. Switching to desktop also does not pause the rendering engine while in the background.

Please consider these energy and performance optimizations in future updates.

Thanks,
Alex
