T Flight Hotas One Throttle jittering below and past 50% throttle

Hi there, I have recently experienced a problem with my T Flight Hotas One where when I set my throttle to neutral it works fine and stays still, once I push my throttle down to come to a complete stop the throttle has a mind of its own (same when I push to full throttle) I have checked the sensitivity and noticed that the throttle will jump around between 50%-100% and 0%-50%. I have looked at other posts to see if there are any similar issues, I have tried all the troubleshooting that has been suggested on those posts but that doesn’t seem to fix it either.

I have tried other games to see if the same problem arises but it only seems to be when I’m playing Flight simulator

Is there any way of this being fixed?

If it seems it’s likely it’s not PC interfacing issue (e.g. calibration) nor sim interfacing issue, then opening the throttle and cleaning the potentiometer would be a good first step. You can probably find a video guide for opening the throttle around. Only do that (unless you really know what you are doing) if it’s out of warranty already, otherwise I’d contact TM support.

I don’t know if it is relevant, but I have had similar issues with “jittery” pitch trim so severe that eventually it puts the aircraft into a 5-6000 ft rate of descent. I use the Saitek X-56 joystick and throttle. This is intermittent in the sense that it only occurs some of the time. It occurs on all aircraft. This is a new problem.
Yesterday, my throttles started “acting up” intermittently. When I pushed the throttles forward, the power would drop. When I returned the throttles to mid-range, the power returned. I never could hold full engine output.

Take a look at your controller response in Windows Devices and Printers. If it jumps around while watching the response there, you know it’s the controller and not the sim.

Maybe make sure that you have no other controllers mapped to any of the throttle commands.

An Xbox controller, for example, might have mappings that you don’t know about set by an MSFS update.

I have a similar issue on the stick side. My workaround is to max out each axis before I take off. Doing so stops the jitter until the next flight. Throttle seems ok for now.

Thanks, that first idea seemed to fix the problem, I dismantled the throttle and cleaned the pentiometer and it completely works now

I ended up taking mine apart and bending the 3 cables down. That is the fix although I cleaned mine too. If yours act up again try that. I haven’t had any issue on the throttle side yet but my stick axis ware really bad. Stick is 100% now for a weeks. Both My friends had the same stick issue so its only a matter of time before it bites you too.
