Hi all and thx for reading.
I own a Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X. Apart from the usual problems many of us are experiencing related to an excess of reaction/sensitivity so difficult to fix through the setup menu, there’s one impossible to fix: throttle is never reaching idle even taking it all the way back.
Checking the curve in the setup menu, one realizes that the diagram reaches 0 even before the throttle gets fully down, only to grow again while you’re still taking it down, ending at a mid point.
I tried to set the dead zone to that point, but it didn’t work.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall; it didn’t work either.
Anyone knows any solution ?
Thanks in advance !
That was the problem for me too.
I think this joystick has an automatic calibration.
Download the Thrustmaster Calibration Tool (google it) and try calibration in Manual Mode.
For me, this solved the problem.
The online calibration tool fixed it for me, too.
I wrote below for another flight sim, however it applies to T.Flight Hotas in all games:
Issue
The Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X has a known issue where the Z-Axis (or throttle) sometimes does not recognise the full axis range of motion. For my joystick, during calibration Windows only recognised 0% to 83% of Z-axis range.
Resolution
The Z-Axis limitation is a bug in the official Thrustmaster drivers. To resolve this issue, these drivers need to be uninstalled.
To uninstall the Thrustmaster drivers, download the latest version of the software at Thrustmaster Support.
Run the software install and it will uninstall any existing Thrustmaster drivers from your PC.
Recalibrate the T.Flight Hotas X using the Windows game controller settings in Control Panel. This will allow the user to assign the full 0% to 100% axis range.
Thanks! This fixed the issue for me. I uninstalled everything, reinstalled and calibrated through Windows menu as suggested. Now it has improved a lot.
If anyone wants to do the same, I found something weird: when calibrating the last axis, it seems they were not detected but they actually are. Just click on OK and go ahead.
Thanks all for your feedback!
