Hi there,
is it possible to change the font color of custom tail number?
Im flying default cessna 152 and when I pick my own registration its in black color. It usually looks bad on the liveries.
I am quite sure that there was a white color also for a tail number as I have seen that on some youtube videos (even the default asxgs).
Any ideas?
Yes there is. You’d need to edit the panel.cfg file for the plane you want to change.
Locate the VPainting section with the location specified as “exterior” and you should see a line starting with painting00=Registration. You should then notice the setting for font color. You should be able to change the color there.

I’ve tested those colors using standard Internet Color Names and never found one that didn’t work. You can also use hexadecimal RGB code, but I can’t remember the format. In the meantime, Feel free to pick a color that suits you:

I just wished they put the tail number setting on the livery aircraft.cfg level instead of panel.cfg.
It makes it really difficult to maintain for aircrafts that gets updated regularly on the panels.
