What a beautiful aircraft! Top notch modelling and texturing. This flying engine might be a racer by heart but it’s wonderful vintage tourer as well. I took of from Catalina Island (KAVX) and flew her down the Baja California for almost two hours, all the way to the Punta San Carlos Airstrip (MMLU).
Takeoffs, taxiing and landings are tough, with that big engine in your face and the Gee Bee Z being a taildragger. The brakes could be better too. But still … an amazing bird from the Golden Age of aviation.
