Last week I have flown to Dubai Intl. and there were no taxi route arrows at all (at night) which was even more frustrating.
Does the AI first officer actually work properly after landing? During the flight all he does is putting the pedal to the metal / the thrust levers to max and fly into the sunset in full overspeed.
Yes, absolutely more discreet, TOGGLABLE as well. The current one is gauche at best. In fact I was hoping it was more discreet than FSX’s. Here you’ve got wonderful scenery and so forth, then this foreign graphic that just looks completely out of place. Thanks, good stuff so far.
I didn’t see this thread and accidently started a new one… but, my idea is…
I think your designated taxiway should just have the normal lights used along the taxiway, but a different color. The large arrows detract from realism and emersion. I would like the large gaudy arrows removed and just make the active taxiway lights on your assigned taxiway a different color possibly from green to yellow.
I wish that the current blue taxi lines would be modified! As soon as those intensive blue lines appear it reduces completely the realism within the sim!
I’m not sure if you are referring to when you have them turned ON they are too bright or wrong color, but you can turn the blue taxi help lines OFF completely in the sim.
I’ve been looking for the file that controls this mechanic and I can’t find it. You can edit pretty much everything else in game, but I can’t find this. Something has to be telling the game what shape, color, offset from the ground, etc to make those arrows, but I don’t know where it is.
yes its clear that we can disactivate the taxi guide lights but it would be nice to have the default lines be modified, i just think the color they use is just poor in quality and does not match with the scenery.
I don’t even bother with them anymore, too much hassle. Right now it’s best to have them disabled. I find my way from gates to runway and after landing I let AI to drive the plane back to the parking spot.
