I see we already have an acknowledgement about the flight model bug, but what about the taxiway light bug?
There needs to be a hotfix issued for this immediately. I spent too much of my hard earned money on third party airports to be looking at a sea of blue lights all over the ground.
I fear we are on our own for this bug though, as the flight model bug is a bigger issue in my opinion, and even that got pushed back for the next sim update.
I am hopeful that someone from the community will step up to do Asobo’s job once again, as they always do (I’m looking at people like the developers of the terrain spike fix mod), and come out with a simple fix for the taxiway light bug so that I can enjoy simming again, at least until the next bugdate.
They are already aware of it and passed it on to the devs, you can find it in the existing thread about this issue (why opening a new one again?):
As soon as there is something to say about it (when it will be fixed, if there’s a workaround etc.), it will be published in the announcements.
Since it’s not as game breaking as the flaps issue I guess it will not be hotfixed.
I can’t believe that I’m actually going to say this, because I don’t like to sound like a whiny pilot, but I’m not buying any scenery until they fix this thing or my existing sceneries work properly again. Most developers are on top of this- but there are a couple who didn’t even acknowledge the problem yet either. So, does this mean that fixes will be automatic from Asobo’s end or will we need to wait for devs to patch their products? Until that’s sorted, I’m just using what I already own and that’s it.
This was something that could have been completely avoided with a little bit of quality control.
Yeah agree - so what will happen if people start buying from the Marketplace and the airports look wrong b/c of the taxiway lighting issue? Will they be asking en masse for refunds? We can’t assume that every single MSFS player will know to check the forum for this issue.
I have a feeling that users will be inundating developers with complaints and leaving them bad reviews. So, this is not only going to drive devs crazy on the software front, but also the customer service front. Why put some guy who does this for some extra $$$ on the side through all of that hassle?
