TB Flight Stick and MSFS not recognizing TB Velocity R

Just bought an xBox X, Turtle Beach headset, flight stick, rudder pedals and downloaded Flight Simulator using game pass. I have restarted, unplugged, replugged multiple times. I have the FS in default Xbox mode. The rudder pedals are in pass through mode, but they were not recognized in the FS default profile.

After a few restarts and game quits I have the FS working. Remaining issue is how do I get the system to recognize the TB rudder pedals, the default is set to FS twisting axis.

The instructions from TB say to navigate to the Accessories menu on the flight controller (FMD) to enable the rudders, that option is not available on the flight stick. I have the rudder set to pass through mode and am using the provided USB pass through cable, it has 3 connectors, I’m not using the throttle connector.

FS firmware is the latest.

I submitted a ticket to TB, but they say it will take 6 days to respond.

You could also go to their discord site for more advice.

I’ve done that too.

This link may be some help.

Thanks, the cable he linked is no longer available, but I ordered one with the same specs. One would think that TB would provide a working cable.

I gave TB ■■■■ about not giving out the cable, or even noticing with my ‘account’ that I had the flightstick and flight yoke when I bought the pedals. Contact them and they will send you a free cable.

I have my pedals plugged into the far left plug looking down from the front. Go in the menu and lockout the rudder on the flight stick. It should need nothing else except plugging into the stick and the rudder pedal icon will show up. The extra axis will show up in the MSFS control menu. Try searching in the menu for ‘rudder’ and ‘brakes’ and click through ALL control tabs and delete any additional assignment for any other device and keyboard.

I pretty much do that with any axis/button for anything I’m using on my controller(s), throttle/spoilers/trim/etc. Make sure the controller you’re using is THE controller for a function.

If you use your own USBC cable you first have to find one that actually FITS into the small openings and it has to be 3.1 or 3.2 spec. After trying 3 different Amazon cables the TB one finally showed up from them. The yoke firmware is borked for pedals right now.

On my yoke the pedals cause the trim wheel to go bonkers and only recognizes brakes half the time. In the flightstick have zero issues. I leave both units plugged in using the flightstick slaving the pedals to it for both. And also use the throttles from the yoke for the flightstick(have a ‘stick and rudder’ profile for the yoke disabling everything except the quadrant assignments one each vernier and levers-and vice versa ‘yoke and pedals’ for the flightstick when using the yoke)…
