TBM 930 Cargo Door not closing after Boarding Cutscene [Charter Career]

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
I recently purchased the TBM to do charter missions in my career. First flight I kept getting a “Cargo Door” warning, despite having done the full walk around and checking everything. I assumed it was just a bug so took off and got a “you crashed” message the moment my wheels left the ground.

Second flight I “skipped to taxi”, I noticed it opening when it ran the cutscene of the passengers boarding. I checked after this cutscene and noticed it had remained open, so had to exit the aircraft while engines were running to close it. My assumption is that this door is meant to close alongside the passenger door after the cutscene.

Edit: To append to this topic as replies have indicated that it’s customary for pilots to close the cargo door, exiting the cockpit after boarding passengers appears to duplicate the ATC request for taxiing. Every time I do this I get two ATC options in the objectives window, both slightly different but suggesting to contact ATC for taxi instructions. Pressing ‘Enter’ does absolutely nothing and the ATC is frozen for the rest of the flight. At every phase of the flight there-on you have to ignore the ATC and pick up warnings for ‘not contacting ATC’, however post-mission screen shows no mission failures for ATC communication.

yea i noticed on my first startup because the door is visible from the pilot seat. seems kinda realistic to me for vips to forget to close doors.

also.. there is a workaround. get out and close the door. i’ve not seen the door open outside of boarding.

Yeah I guess that could be a ‘feature’, and that’s what I did in the end, although I imagine in a real life scenario the pilot wouldn’t start-up the engine before getting out to check so it’s a bit irritating when using ‘skip to taxi’ and you have to get out of the aircraft to close it again.

I thought this was a bug too, but indeed its customary for the pilot to close the cargo doors after the passengers board.

The problem i’m having is that the pilot side door will randomly open on takeoff causing a detected crash. This has happened several times in career mode and has been costly. I checked my key bindings and theres nothing mapped to “Open Door”.

Same thing on the xbox side but, can’t open the pilot door to get out. Latch doesn’t respond to unlock. Big pay out to complete this mission.

There’s a button next to the latch that you need to press first to unlock the door.

In a Charter mission, private or VIP, the cargo door opens when the passengers board, but it does not close. A warning of door open shows in the MFD and you must go out of the plane and close that door. Is not terrible but it is annoying…
