Anyone have more insight on what the Manual Override lever is for on the TBM930? Other than it prevented me from moving the throttle so I can get on my way.
It’s a manual fuel lever that bypasses the FADEC control. I’ve never used it in the sim, but I seem to remember reading that in the real world, it can be rather difficult to control the engine using it.
For some reason I couldn’t get my throttle to respond when it was in the down position I had to push it up to get throttle power to taxi.
Like another person said it bypasses the fuel controller and the fuel is used by the engine dependent upon how much the lever is moved. It’s about like pouring a bucket of gasoline on a fire if you’re not careful. I did a video on the TBM that covers everything inside the cockpit including that mysterious red lever.
