TBM 930 max speed too low after update

Normally I use the tables in the POH to set my torque, but since the update, I can’t set the power anywhere near the recommended cruise power; MS reduced the max by at least 20 kts.

Is there a way, maybe in a cfg file or something, that I can raise Vne back up?

I also try to change that, but there must be a deeper problem… in the cfg´s I can´t find the reason.
it is the Vmo, by the way, not the Vne, where the red band starts :slight_smile:
But yes, it is very sad, that you are in a overspeed condition while cruising @ FL300 with 200kts IAS :frowning:
It is sad that ASOBO put so much work into world updated and do not care about the fundamental things… or do not test is properly before release!

Same problem here. Need to use torque settings under 70% to don’t overspeed.

Same problem here. I created a bug report and we’ll just have to wait and see I guess… Sad that you can’t go as fast

I have a difference between Cockpit and external view in max kts

Just wondering if Asobo misunderstood this graph as limiting speeds, the TAS range seems to correspond to your screenshot…

they respond but i am wondering why is the red lines only in cockpit view and they show both the IAS

Same here, the IAS / TAS seems to correspond with the maximum attainable cruise speed, which is not a limiting speed so the Vmo should still be at 266 kts IAS or 271 kts CAS depending if the TBM automatically corrects for position errors. I’m suspecting Asobo mistakenly took those maximum attainable speeds as limitation? I have seen more aircraft with wrong airspeed tape on the HUD…

I don’t know if there is a Mmo for the TBM, I have flown turboprops with a Vmo and Mmo, can’t find anything in the POH though…

Edit: Type Certificate also states 271 kts CAS as Vmo, no Mmo published…

Hello,
Your best bet would be to file this in Bugs & Issues. I have moved it there.

cruise_mach=0.6 in flightmodel.cfg

Everything is slow after the update… you should also check the drivers.
