TBM 930 will not work without Working Title addon

I thought the Working Title G1000 in the marketplace was optional and is now apart of the base sim?
Without it, the avionics in the TBM 930 do not function.
The HSI says FSM DPRT constantly, and no basic functions of autopilot respond, Heading, Alt Hold, Nav…etc.

I’m wondering if this is a bug, with the Asobo Avionics and the WT avionics add on is masking it.

have any mods for the TBM?

TBM930 avionics is based on G3000 not G1000
TBM930 is working well now without any Working Title addon in Community

I have only Marketplace content cause Im using an Xbox. I installed the WT G1000nxi to get it to work.
I assumed it was no longer needed.

I’ve recently returned to the TBM and have been impressed by how good it now is. The avionics work very well and have just about all the functionality most people would require, I see no need to use any mods with this any more. If you have any working title addons it’s probably best to uninstall them, as I understand they can interfere with the default TBM navigation suite.

Im having the opposite experience. The avionics wont work without the WT G1000NXI installed.

When you say the avionics don’t work, do you mean you are unable to change the pages on the Main Flight Display with the softkeys and touchscreens in the cockpit? For example are you able to enter a simple flight plan using either the Flight Planning Map or the cockpit controls? If you can do that make sure you have the AP Trims switch set to on, it is above the windscreen to the right of the crash handle.

I don’t know how familiar you are with the systems in this airplane, apologies if I seem to be insulting your intelligence but it’s often the little details which catch people out.

Just as I described in my original post
The HSI says FSM DPRT constantly and does not change to FMS TERM, The magenta line also remains broken. And no basic functions of autopilot respond, Heading, Alt Hold, Nav…etc. will not activate. The Autopilot button is switched on, on the overhead panel.

The flight plan is loaded in the MFD but no Waypoint is active. But even after activating the waypoint it will not function.

With the Working Title G1000NXI everything works fine, but without it the FSM and Autopilot do not work.

Are all your other aircraft working fine with regard to autopilot function?

Yes. In fact long ago I uninstalled the WT addons when Asobo made them default because they were causing problems in some planes.
I had not flown the TBM 930 in a very long time before last night. But this is the only plane so far that I’ve ran across this issue.

It seems like there might be a problem like a corrupt file maybe, I am not familiar with x box I’m afraid as I’m on pc and don’t know what to suggest next! Hopefully other folks might like to chime in and help you, tomorrow I’ll be flying again and if I think of anything I’ll get back. You may end up reinstalling the sim though as a last resort.

I don’t fly this plane, but this symptom stood out to me. The only time I’ve seen a broken magenta line is when I haven’t fully set up the route in the CJ4’s FMS. That happened as a result of an avionics update to make it more realistic, so I’m wondering if this one also had an avionics update. If you look in your FMS legs, do you see anything listed as a discrepancy?

The G1000NXi does not install into the TBM and in fact the Marketplace version just bridges in built-in NXi to third party G1000 planes that still use the old G1000. There is no code in the Marketplace package and it does not affect the TBM in any way.

It sounds like potentially there is a different mod or addon causing a conflict.

The TBM got an avionics update earlier this year which made the avionics much more true to life. I’ve never had a discrepancy in a flight plan but will try to create one and see what happens.

In the CJ4 it typically happens when you get to a section that would normally switch to being vectored by ATC. Like from the last waypoint of the main route and relying on ATC to vector to the approach.

Here are some images With and Without the G1000NXI
The flight plan is a straight run from FQMA to FAOR
There are no Mods to the aircraft, the default livery is being used.

Without the G1000NXI installed. Autopilot controls non operational.

With the G1000NXI installed. Autopilot controls fully operational

Personal Comments and Observations

The scoreboard annunciator (above the bank angle arc in the PFD) in both screenshots shows blank. They should show Autopilot and Lateral/Vertical Modes enabled if AP is on and functioning.

In the later image, I don’t know why it’s blank there, but it is currently populated now as I’m currently in flight.

EDIT: Actually I remember it appearing in both versions. They are just not showing these images…

Both these shots show you on the ground and startup not complete (CAS advisory/alerts messages) zero speed and elevation 120’ at origin airfield. What would help is to show your Community Folder contents (verify your Community folder is the correct one by checking the last line of UserCfg.opt which should point to your Packages Folder Path) and show Content Manager filtered for G1000 and then G3000 packages.

I’m on an Xbox , there is no community folder.
