Hi everyone,
I am seeking urgent help with my Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Quadrant on Steam. I’m at the point where I’m considering a refund because I cannot get the idle detent to function correctly.
The Issue: Whenever I pull the throttles back to the physical “Idle” detent, the sim registers it as being in the reverse thrust range. This happens consistently in both the iniBuilds Airbus and the PMDG 777.
What I have already tried:
-
Firmware: Updated to the latest version via Thrustmaster Control Panel.
-
Calibration: Performed the physical factory calibration (using the red buttons) multiple times.
-
MSFS Settings: Attempted to adjust sensitivity, but even with the “Neutral” shifted, the sensor seems to “slip” back into reverse.
Hardware Symptoms: It feels like the sensors are loose or the “Idle” zone is far too narrow. In the MSFS sensitivity curve, the white dot sits right on the edge of the reverse threshold when at the idle stop. Because the scale in my settings is 0 to 1, I’ve tried small deadzones (0.05 - 0.1), but the “reverse” command still triggers randomly at idle.
Does anyone have a specific calibration profile or a fix for “loose” magnetic sensors? If I can’t find a hardware or software workaround that makes these planes flyable, I’ll have to return the unit.
