TCS control for high end autopilot equipped aircraft

Many airliners/jets/turboprops (not airbus, sorry) have a button on the yoke called TCS - (tactile control system). It functions as an alternative method for the pilot to adjust what the autopilot is doing by press and hold the button on the yoke and the autopilot will change either the vertical speed, or if in a pitch mode, the pitch hold attitude, or in some cases the heading selected. After the button is released, the autopilot will maintain the present rate/pitch/heading. Since we are all mostly single pilot in a dual pilot aircraft, it will be of great help if this was implemented. It also will help us avoid those near misses ATC lovingly gives us in cruise when the AP is on.
