Why?
Use copy on disk C: to play
Use copy on disk F: to make scenery
Scenario:
Is it possible to have:
1 standalone, separate copy of MSFS24 on disc C:
1 standalone, separate copy of MSFS24 on disc F:
Usage:
Switching back and forth between 2 copies using one official licence, only logged in of course, in one at the time.
Essentially Without the 2 copies interacting, ever.
Wil this work?
Goal: not contaminating the copy that is used to play at all when installing additional sdk tools, blender, importing materials and what not.
Thanks in advance!
Harry
It’s not the same version, but I have a Steam and a Microsoft Shop version running side by side without problems.

Thanks for chiming in! I am looking to install 2 identical versions on 2 separate disks or partitions. Then log in into the version I want to use. As stated, one version exclusively to play the sim, the other one to create sceneries. I do not want those 2 versions to have overlapping file structures.
Last time I installed the necessary SDK files and Blender and other tools I lost track of what was originally in the Sim and what was solely related to the SDK and my scenery efforts.
I’d like to do this to keep a copy of the Beta as well as the Stable/Live, because for example, whatever you do during career in Beta does NOT survive when released, so I’d like to be able to switch easily between the two. BUT, from what I can see, assuming you buy the sim from MS you can’t do this, I see no option in the installer. I’d love to be wrong, someone chime in here if you find a way… Sigh, for now I just have to do reinstalls
LOL, well maybe if you have money to burn… or you’re given them
but for me paying for a buggy big wad of software once is quite enough thank you very much
