Having just spent the weekend flying around Tenerife in the Bell 407 both in VR and on the screen I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that the island scenery represents the pinnacle of realism and immersion in any area of sim I’ve yet seen. With the 2M DEM and replacement ground imagery from Island Creations over on Sim market coupled with the really high resolution and extensive photogrammetry available at flightsim.to it all comes together to look so photoreal when up in the air.
I’d say my only criticism of Island Creations ground imagery is that although it has much more realistic colouring the resolution doesn’t seem very high so up close its quite distorted. Its particularly noticeable in the road areas. Other than that the whole area just looks incredible and its well worth investing in all just to spend time in this beautiful location. I’ve never visited Tenerife but having spent the weekend there in the sim I feel as though I have.
