Should we not test third party aircraft in a beta also? I see some third party planes are not working in the beta 4. Would like to hear your thoughts on this.
We are not QA testers, so you’re free to test SU4 with third-party aircraft installed.
Important: if you find a bug (or think it might be a bug) and want to report it on the forum, it’s strongly recommended to first re-check it without any modifications and after clearing the cache. If the issue also appears without mods, then you should go ahead and report it on the forum.
Technically no we shouldn’t use add-ons coz any number of issues could arise from them but I also don’t know anyone that doesn’t use any add-ons in live builds
Like Im part of a group that flys daily and 70% would be in add-on aircraft with add-on scereny so testing add-on model matching is a thing we want to test

Agree with what has been said, it’s important to test compatibility so that any platform related issues (which may cause 3rd party issues) can be ironed out but as stated above the data is only useful if you also test without them (when it makes sense) and in some cases potentially log it with the 3rd party developer for investigation as well.
It’s hard work being a beta tester
but ultimately it makes for a better product for everyone.
Exactly and mentioning a regression to a developer mention your in the beta as they might be able to go well this has been said here is on fix list etc also helps them be on top of any potential new bugs
I’m glad that the CM confirms what I wrote here
Thanks Guys for the feedback and on that note I would like to mention that the MD80 Maddog crashes when asking for data from SimBrief, Ifly 737 max doesn’t load in and the FlightFX Citation x panels are black and this is only with the Beta 4 and it seems the developers of the third party aircraft are waiting for a fix from Microsoft. I for one have left the beta for this reason until a fix is implemented. I cant use these Planes. I would also like to know if others are experiencing the same problem.
