The textures are rendered on runways and taxiways like tiles. The lighter border lines are the problem, they move together with the runway, but disappear when they come closer to the airplane. Seen on multiple German airports like EDDM or EDDS.
The airport area is set to be cached, Nvidia drivers are actual. The problem is the same whether with the game-specific optimization or without. Resolution is 1920x1080, but render scaling is set to 80%.
Do you have any third party scenery loaded in your commnity folder that could be interfering? Maybe rename your community foler and test with no addons.
This is mine at EDDM facing west.
I do have render scaling at 130, but I don’t think that is the issue.
As skypilot YTS mentions, this could be a conflict with something in your Community folder.
Hi folks,
I think this is now fixed. Thanks for the help!
What I did:
Deleted the manual cache and the rolling cache - this did not helped
Changing the graphics settings did not helped
DATA/BING DATA WORLD GRAPHICS was deactivated - this was the point when the tiles disappeared after I went back to the main menu and restarted the flight
Renamed the community folder (most probably this was not needed) - still no issue
Renamed the community folder back - still no issue
Activating DATA/BING DATA WORLD GRAPHICS again, activating the PHOTOGRAMMETRY, set the ROLLING CACHE again to a bigger value (16GB) - still no issue
And 2 days later…
The tiles are back again. I did only the first some steps:
Deactivate photogrammetry
Deactivate Bing data
Rolling cache deleted (and keep off)
So far the issue is still visible, even after restarting the whole simulator. I will keep playing with the steps above to see what really helped previously…
I turned Photogrammetry off and then Bing Data off as well and the lines disappeared.
Turning on Bing Data again was fine but as soon as i turned on Photogrammetry the lines reappeared. So seems to be an Issue with the Photogrammetry. Or atleast in my Sim it is somehow connected.
Edit: After trying some more Airports i can see that with Photogrammetry turned off the lines are still there…they just get way smaller. But especially at snowy airports they are still visible and annoying. Don´t really know what else to try…
Finally I got the real solution. Although the turning off photogrammetry solved this for a short time, the problem appeared again.
SOLUTION
In the Nvidia control panel the custom settings were activated, including app-based settings. They override the app (MSFS) own settings, and here was something poorly set.
I just set the Nvidia settings to “quality” in global, and the patterns were gone. This solved also a problem, that the roads were displayed only within a short radius (1 km) and then they were washed away.
