That’s OUTSTANDING news! I loved the PMDG MD11 and can’t wait to get the aircraft back into my hangar! KLM 765 is gonna happen again
So pre-early access… yeah I’ll wait until full release.
ah… yeah me, too.
From the recent video it looks good but it still needs the 2 months of polishing so ill gladly wait.
You do not have any other choice than to wait. The version that release now, is sold out.
Cheers
youtube videos are allowed for the owners? at least we could see some reviews…
I asked and they said it is ok, but we should all be aware, that this is early access and WIP.
I love that you give probably the most detailed development roadmap ever on your website and then finish it with “For more detailed development updates join our discord”! If only other devs gave even a tenth of that detail level…
A digital product being sold out…this modern world we live in sure is a weird one
Why not. Some digital Tickets for Events also will sell out. Shares also will sell out. Nothing new here. Its a collectors edition. Its not the product itself that is sold out, but the bonuses that come with the edition. They only sold 1000 of them. They public access is set for january.
I’m a bit surprised nothing is showing up on my YT feed. I guess the collectors are mostly non content producers, which I guess is a good thing.
@JayDee6281 are you going to do a review/first look video? Sounded like you do have it
Video is rendering already. Then Upload and Youtube Processing. I guess it takes around 5-6 hours from now til available.
Some Notes already:
It is too early to point fingers on bugs or unfinished things - they are there, fact, but it is a very early version. All still WIP.
But one can already see a lot of quality - which gives a lot of hope for a very high quality product.
Cockpit for instance is already magnificent.
Cheers
Just wait until they start selling NFT add-ons for MSFS!
Tickets, shares, and software are completely different concepts.
I just think creating artificial scarcity for a product you can sell infinite copies of is somewhat weird, that’s all. You don’t see JustFlight, Carenado or Blackbox doing it.
But hey, it ain’t my company, they can do as they please.
The idea was to finance the rest of the development based on FOMO. I hate to say it worked.
Yeah, I wouldn´t probably do it neither. But as you said, their business. But I find it not more wierd, then rare or nearly unique digital skins (also artificially generatedy scarcity) for weapons in games, you can sell and purchase for ridiculus amounts of money^^. But it works in todays world^^.
Cheers
I dont think it has to do with FOMO. I bought it, because I wanted to support them. I do this with a lot of games. Early Acces, Crowd Funding etc. are legit business models in the modern world. And they often grant special bonuses to the fist few or the buyers of the most expensive “supporter packages”. There can be abuse and scam, but criminals you will find everywhere in the world. And the most of us are aware of the risk of not getting what we have paid for. Failure of an project is always possible. But its not that you have to invested a 5 digit amount in share. So you have to see in relation.
I went for a product license last December and I didn’t feel annoyed, ripped off or what so ever. I rather, if possible, support them for being honest and admitting to need to do this step to continue the project, rather than having it scrapped. And, as we can see, it worked out fine. They never said, they wouldn’t reimburse the money if things went otherwise.
Today, I checked the available screenshots and must admit, that they have seemingly created a wonderful rendition of a near relative to my favourite aircraft, the DC-10. I gladly help, but only if I am able to.
Kind regards.
