TFDI MD11 - Clicking Noise

Hi Everyone,

i just started flying the MD-11. I have a constant clicking noise while in the Cockpit. Is this Normal? am I doing something wrong?

There is a vibrator behind the standby altimeter so it doesn’t get stuck.

So im quessing its a normal noise that i should get used to

If you use the ISFD version you won’t hear it as it’s not mechanical.

I don’t know, sorry. I don’t have this aircraft. I just know what that noise is.

Hm, I was trying to find the answer for you but it looks like there is no option to switch (I looked at some YouTube videos and nobody was using an ISFD). I thought I did see someone using an ISFD at least once in the past. My bad.

soo - i just got around to turing the SIM On. There is an Option to change the standy altimiter.

So with your information the clicking is finaly gone!
