Last Autumn I fell in love with virtual flying and for a rookie was starting to get to grips with GA craft.
Unfortunately I have Central Pain Syndrome, over the years Football Manager, Train Simulator and Cities Skylies distracted me from my condition, but being able to fly the virtual world appealed.
Since January I’ve been laid up, the condition is visiting my shoulders and arms right now but thanks to the oft maligned AI pilot option and only a little painful mouse work with my left hand I can fly the world and feel less trapped. It’s been a massive therapeutic benefit.
Today I’m in a lot of pain…but I’m also in Afghanistan.
Yes, bugs, blah, wishlist etc and I’m not pretending I don’t encounter frustrations, usually down to me trying to overlay a TP airport where I’ve already got one from Marketplace, seems to be my favourite trick.
Lovely story - couldn’t agree more! I have epilepsy which stopped me from becoming a pilot, but this sim allows me to enjoy the thrill and relaxation of flight. It’s been a great stress reliever for me whilst I’ve struggled with my condition. Wishing @Wivenswold all the best and I hope you will always enjoy this sim.
