But the frequency increases with speed. If you takeoff you will notice the frequency increases. That increase in frequency may be to fast and when flying those waves you showed turns into spikes rather than waves. I think that is how winds work but the top of those sudden increases should last longer. But it’s tricky to get it balance for every single aircraft. A smaller lighter aircraft should feel more frequent gusts compared to an airliner. A light aircraft also is affected by less wind velocity compared to a heavy airliner.

How i think it should be while flying.

I’m not sure though. I have not researched gust frequency. In my opinion, it’s much better now than pre su10. The air feels alive compared to the constant winds we had pre su10. That line you showed would have been flat on ground pre su10. We all have different opinions thats why i think options is good. I understand that those not need this feature complains when they suddenly got forced to use it in live-weather.

I think it’s an issue that we can’t have options in live-weather.
