The big Meridian GMT Peripherals Topic

“The past is the past. We’re here to talk about the future”.

Today, Nicki Repenning presented his new company, and vision for the future of his peripherals for PC, and XBox at the FSWeekend 2025 at Lelystad, NL.

The products are still in development, and may take a while to get to the production phase. Still I wanted to share what I learned today, because to my view a person with Nicky’s track record deserves a fresh start.

The new website is www.meridiangmt.com.

He will launch these three products first: Sierra, Tango, and X-Ray. Demos should be available at FXExpo in June 2025.

Basic vision: “Modulatiry is key. Start light, and affordable, and build out.”

No in-sim configuration needed. All peripherals will be 100% plug and play because of a ‘HID/PID handshake’ (read: immediate recognition by the sim).

A glimpse into Nicki’s future vision with currently 35 products on the road map:

Will be interesting to see how this all plays out. HCA just announced their 4 new products as well.

I do like the swappable front panels and buttons, that’s pretty cool!

From the original images though it doesn’t look like it has the mounting options on the top like the HC products do, which may be a bit of a deterrent as allot of us mount touch screens, radios, etc.. to the top utilizing those holes.

Any word on pricing for all the modular front panels? Wonder if you can specify one that comes with it and then order more if desired, or if all of them come with the same default panel and then you have to buy specific ones if you want them.

Nicki told us that everything you see will be included.
He also wants to open a hub for the community to build their own expansions.

I’m going to remain highly skeptical of all this just given the history here - but will be amazing if realized!

Yes, understandable. I am willing to look to the future, but of course we first need to see the final products to know what it will be.

Launch date if we know Nikki is 2030. He always over promises and I will never trust him again

Ah man flight sim expo stage videos are always so cringe 100% of the time. Compelling products on the road map from both of these entities. I’ve built out my Bravo with enough third party stuff to where I’m reluctant to replace it with something new, but nothing’s gotten me to consider it like the new Meridian GMT unit shown today.

Kinda wild to see Nikki on stage after Honeycomb went earlier, same conference, same day, I dunno that just tickled the flight sim drama geek in me

All the “Alphas” are staring to look the same now, between companies, which is funny. Nikki’s just all-in on the emergency brake lever. Hell yeah.

And I feel like both companies debuted a “Sierra” but one’s an old Honeycomb yoke and the Meridian one is something different? I don’t wanna muddy the thread with comparisons to Honeycomb of old but the confusion in the marketplace is hard to ignore with this whole thing but I’m overall excited by all the new stuff, wish em both luck.

Honeycomb’s Sierra is a vernier-style TPM throttle quadrant, Meridian’s Sierra is their yoke system. Shouldn’t be confusing for consumers in the slightest, and I definitely don’t smell (more) litigation in the future.

To be honest, the Xbox Controller is the most interesting thing for me, even though I am not using FS on Xbox.

Regarding the other products I can’t get rid of the picture of two Guys who try to runaway from each other while connected with a rubber band…

Was at the presentation yesterday and it looks really really nice, but im highly skeptical giving Nicki’s history,

The point that concerts me the most is all the magnetic stuff, more stuff to break

will definitely keep my eye on these

If this actually sees the light of day without issues it looks to an awesome product lineup

But more easily replaceable. And with far lesser postage cost (only a sub-unit needs to be replaced).

Seeing Honeycomb and Meridian in the same conference with a product with exactly the same name (Sierra) and completely different spec crossed the line from weird to funny.

I finally got the hidden topic of this FSweekend: “promises” featuring Honeycomb, Meridian, FSS, X-Crafts and Mathjis Kock!

That is true, still very interested how this is going to go

Honeycomb and ex partner Nikki Repenning have both announced new products.
Repenning’s new company is MeridianGMT and has a website illustrating their products.
Honeycomb has new peripherals also.
Interesting days

Not sure how they let Winwing participate, their products are real.
