The big Meridian GMT Peripherals Topic

His claim is that all three products will be available for demo in Providence, and of that I am very doubtful.

that’s definitely taking sides.
I give Nikki the benefit of the doubt. After all the chances of a big company screwing over an inventor is more likely than vice versa. But still with all the blaming and name-calling it felt too much like a presidential election campaign. And when people sink to that level, trust flies out the window.
To I trust neither sides but still have some hope for Nikki and hope he can deliver.

(BTW did you know that the literal translation for the German word for “election campaign” is “election fight”. That’s pretty apt if you ask me even though German elections are far less adversarial the US elections)

I dunno guys, this thing looks pretty sick…

From Simulation Daily

** Meridian GMT Shows Upcoming Flight Simulation Controllers With New Options, also For Xbox**

During FSExpo 2025 in Providence, Rhode Island, the new flight simulation hardware manufacturer Meridian GMT provided an updated look at its upcoming controllers, which were originally announced back in March.

CEO Nicki Repenning started by presenting the Tango Plus Throttle Quadrant, which will cost $349.99 as originally announced. Repenning mentioned that this may change if the tariff situation changes, but for now, the manufacturer is managing to hold onto that price.

The levels will have four configurations included in the price Boeing, Airbus, and single-engine and twin-engine general aviation. Each cover will have a chip that will communicate to the software that is being used, configuring the axes automatically.

A customizable screen for standby instruments has been added to the general aviation configuration on the left, while on the right, an annunciator panel (that assigns automatically) has been included. This can also be customized to be used as engine gauges.

The programmable switches above the throttles will have magnetic labels that will remind you of what they do.

The wheel on the left of the throttles is the actual trim wheel, while the one on the right controls the tension of the levers.

The Boeing configuration has a complete multi-mode panel. The flaps and speed brakes have detents. The gear level has three positions (up, down, and off).

Underneath the throttle units, there’s a connection point to attach a mouse pad. A motorized add-on will be available, but it’ll cost extra ($30 per motor, and there will be three).

The Airbus version received an EFIS panel, a flight control panel, and an auto brake panel. You can see all configurations below.

Moving on to the Sierra Plus yoke, which will let you switch between the master/avionics switches, an EFIS Panel, and a display unit and MFD panel. There are also single and multi-engine options for the ignition switches.

The panel above the master/avionics switches is a touch screen.

The yoke itself boasts 16 times the resolution and 50% more travel compared to the previous product.

Lastly, we take a look at the X-Ray controller, which has its own configurations for Boeing, Airbus, and General Aviation aircraft, on top of a helicopter version. It’ll cost $99.99.

We also hear that Meridian partnered with Xbox and just received the official “Designed for Xbox” label.

After looking at the reports from FS Expo, I hope the throttle unit makes it to production.

Here’s presentation 1/2:
&tl;dr: Nicki’s vision on modularity. Start with a high fidelity, acceptable price point product, and add from there when you grow in the hobby. 40 products on the road map, for the next 36 months.

And here’s presentation 2/2.
&tl;dr: Tango and Sierra go both for 349. Tango includes single and dual engine GA, Boeing, and Airbus inserts. All plug & play. Motors for the trim and auto throttle are sold separately for 30 bucks each. Sierra yoke can also be configured for the same four aircraft. (Ff was not mentioned here, but in Lelystad I heard him talk about this in a private conversation.) X-Ray is also very modular: Cessna, Boeing, Airbus, and even Heli inserts are exchangeable. 100 bucks. Latest news: Meridian GMT is now officially licensed development partner for XBox.

That throttle does look nice, hopefully at next year’s FSExpo they’ll have actual products to show instead of mockups.

It seems there’s something brewing in the MeridianGMT marketing department. Stay tuned.

A Discord channel has opened. For now it’s the old one, rebranded.

The new website is up! Tango and Sierra have been renamed Latitude Plus (Throttle Quadrant), and Horizon Plus (Yoke). The hand held flight deck X-Ray has not been renamed.

And an article with the pricing: The last yoke and throttle you'll need? Meridian GMT modular system and pricing revealed - MSFS Addons

Let me know what you think.

I’m incredibly excited about this but also apprehensive that they will be able to deliver on everything listed here, especially at that price point and in a reasonable time frame.

Not sure I’ll be in the market to risk $700 as a first wave customer, but if this is real, delivers on the expectations, and maintains that kind of pricing, these will definitely replace my VelocityOne Flight system.

After the previous track record he’s got the audacity to ask for pre orders again. Really. If he’s that confident in these products make stock and only then offer them for sale when they are sitting in a warehouse waiting to be shipped to any customers. Anyone pre ordering has more money than sense.

So I signed up before February 1st for the Horizon Plus Yoke beta pre-order and haven’t received an email to pre-order since that timeframe. Not sure if this is happening with other people, too.

I’ve also received nothing, and have seen several other reports of users having not heard anything.

Me neither. I have e-mailed the owner to ask if the site was meant to send a confirmation e-mail at all. Now we are left in the dark.

I think that the company is still in the very early stages of producing the first testable hardware, obviously (hopefully) for FSWeekend March 20, and meanwhile maintaining the website, staffing, customer questions, etc. I guess that there are many moving parts that first need to fall in place. I will speak to the owner again at FSWeekend and hope to post more information March 21.

Just got a little more info: the registering form on the website is NOT a pre-order, but only a registering for pre-order. Next week e-mails are supposed to be sent out.

Also: the owner is in China currently, all to make sure he has a functional yoke and throttle at FSWeekend! Exciting :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

If this behaviour does not send red flags all I can say is anyone who pre-orders has a lot of blind faith.

The poor communication was a trait of the last company and now it’s happening again. Regardless of where you are or what you are doing if you launch an expressions of interest you need to be on it to communicate. What’s it going to be like once you’ve parted with money for a pre-order. Not even sure I’d order from stock from this guy but a money up front pre-order not a chance given the past debacle. Once bitten and all.

Walk away while there is still time.

Walk away people before you cannot dispute the credit card charge. You only have 3 months to dispute and if anything like the last product, we didn’t hear anything for years. A lot of people lost a lot of money.
