Maybe check in “My Library” if it has been deactivated ?, I don’t know how it should shows up there.

I have the basic version that comes with Xbox pass.
it’s been my default for the last several patches now. if only the game would remember which version you used last…
EDIT: and which airport you were at last… and where you were parked last… and the time of day… sigh

I use FSTARTER24 for that.
I upgraded from MSFS 2020 Deluxe to MSFS 2024 Deluxe and the only C172 I can find is the G1000 glass cockpit, I want the old classic C172 back with the “steam gauges” which is what I flew a lot of in real life. Also would enjoy having the C-7a Caribou in the Livery, it was my favorite aircraft to fly in while in Vietnam 69-70.
It’s listed as “Basic” under the variants for the C172 G1000.
Not for everyone who purchased her in 2020, for examle. I am still waiting my fs2020 Premium and Deluxe planes, including C-172 basic appear in 2024. I believe currently that this is because I purchased 20204 after the patch which disabled the 2020 content.
I hope she may appear with my other 2020 content after they open the Market place
