The COM frequencies are at 6.25kHz spacing - not the expected 8.33kHz

 Thank you using the Bug section, using templates provided will greatly help the team reproducing the issue and ease the process of fixing it.

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

No - user mode only, though both UI and also SimConnect

Have you disabled/removed all your mods and addons?

Yes

Brief description of the issue:

The ICAO COM frequency separation is 8.33kHz and MSFS purports to use that. But the implementation is actually at 6.25kHz spacing. This means that four clicks (not three) of the inner (fraction) knob is needed to add or subtract 25kHz. This occurs with the Bendix King COM/NAV and the G1000. And it also (significantly for me) occurs in SimConnect with COM_RADIO_FRACT_INC and COM_RADIO_FRACT_DEC. So my Touch Portal page (below) needs an incorrect number of repetitions (clicks).

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

Touch Portal needs 16 repeats (not 12) of COM_RADIO_FRACT_INC to advance 100kHz as in this screen shot:

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Carefully count the clicks needed to change a COM frequency fraction component.

That’s the way it is. The first click from a 25khz freq say from 132.000 to 132.005 does not invoke a frequency change but denotes the use of an 8.33khz spaced channel. The 3 clicks after that increase the frequency by the expected 8.33khz and then after the last of those you are back on a 25khz spaced frequency. In our example that would be 132.025. So essentially in this little example a selection of 132.000 is the same frequency as a selection of 132.005 and a selection of 132.025 is the same frequency as a selection of 132.030. There are plenty of frequency tables on the net that explain this.

OK thanks. I hadn’t realised that particular behaviour. My last flying IRL was before 8.33kHz spacing became mandatory and my a/c’s COM was only 25kHz spacing. So that is all I am used to.
