The Deck Manchester Barton Aerodrome

I have just spent 90 minutes at the above attraction. Which is based at Manchester Barton Aerodrome in the UK. The attraction is the complete upper deck including flight deck and first class seating of a retired Boeing 747-400. The experience is amazing, takes flight simulation to a deferent level. It isn’t a full motion simulator but as realistic as it gets for me. My flights included, quick tutorial flight Manchester EGCC to Leeds Bradford EGNM, Take off Innsbruck tour of the Alps land back at Innsbruck ( I know 747’s don’t land or take off at Innsbruck) but we did both for fun. Take off San Francisco full circuit taking in Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Then my favourite airport in the world Male (VRMM) gateway to the Maldives. The runway is the closest you’ll ever get to taking off and landing on an aircraft carrier in a civilian aircraft, as it has ocean at both ends of the runway, in fact the elevation is about 2 metres above sea level which if you think about it is closer to the sea than an aircraft carrier. We took off runway 18 and full circuit for a landing back on RW 18. I would highly recommend this flight simulator experience to everyone.
