Will it be coming to Xbox need this over the Captain Sim one
No due to the custom glass cockpit.. or so I’ve read. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong
Ah dam had a feeling that may have been the case
Just bought it!
I have never heard anyone call it the dirty thirty.
Me either, and I just looked into it and found this:
The product will actually be called “Dirty 30,” likely due to trademark reasons.
Lawyers ruin everything.
that they do indeed…
Seems some posts with information about the D30 I had read have gotten deleted from Blackbird’s general “news” topic.
Do I remember right that there is known performance (FPS) problem with this in the SU2 Beta currently? And this will be resolved when the SU goes public?
I could not fly it. Was getting 20 to 24 fps (my target for VR is 36, anything less is unplayable).
We are looking at the FPS issue.
Am also getting much lower performance on the D30 compared to other 2024 complex aircraft with update 2. Update 2 fixes so many bugs and performance improvements to not make me want to even go back to try update 1 again.
At a regional airport the D30 averages about 55fps vs the C-17 which averages about 90fps. The all analogue CS C-130 manages 105fps under the same conditions. That is with 32GB ram and an RX9070 running at 1440p on mostly High and Ultra settings. I think that they will need to bring the D30’s performance up towards the C-17, so there is some way to go. But its very early days, and there is certainly plenty of time to improve the D30 since it is only an Alpha release.
I couldn’t say what my fps was, but I had a good experience with comparable performance to anything else in fs24. A low flight over Tokyo at night in VR left me with no complaints. I’m on SU2.
It has its bugs, but I haven’t found FPS to be an issue. As always, YMMV
We are aware of a possible bug in either the sim SU2 update that came out today… or in our code. We are investigating…
The latest version, while a bit better, is still suffering from choppy frames here. Strange thing is my FPS counter (windows game bar performance overlay) states 36 (which is my lock) but it is really sluggish. Scenery is moving by in steps and the yoke / pedals animation is not smooth either. It initially dropped to like 22 - 28fps but aftter I took off, did a circuit, and landed again it stayed at 36, but something is off with it. Weird…
There’s a lot of weirdness to the game and sometimes it can be hard to tell whether it’s the sim or the plane. I’ve seen problems with both, both in the c130 and other planes
