I have a small concern. High on the list of proposed changes to the next update was GPS functionality improved. I wouldn’t want the developers to hit a grand slam on the next batch of native Garmin products in the sim, but b/c many people (including myself) have downloaded other developers G3000, etc. products into our Community folders, that the new update will be hampered somehow. I think it would be nice for the developers to give us a heads up if this is going to be the case, i.e. “please delete your addons in your community folder before the next update as they have been included in this update and then some!”

You realize that the developers that make the Garmin mods (Working Title) were contracted by Microsoft to make them at the native Garmins in the sim, right?
The idea is that the Garmin mods that fix the issues with the stock mods and add missing functionality will no longer be needed once the in-sim ones are complete.

@Crunchmeister71 nailed it. We are working full speed on, amongst other things, enhancements to the avionics in the core sim. I can’t talk about timelines, but I can note that we are doing our best to keep the free mods functional with sim changes up to the point they’re no longer needed because we have code in the core game.
This is, of course, secondary to our main tasks, so it will always be a “best effort” deal, but we care very much about keeping things functional and if future problems pop up we’ll fix them the best we can.
And then, some day, hopefully not too far off, our mods won’t be needed any more.

I would really like to see a good GTN750/650 like we had from Flight1 for FSX/P3d, but Flight1 isn’t going to create a MSFS version if there are no aircraft to use it. And aircraft developers aren’t going to create aircraft panels to support the GTN if there is no GTN. The ole chicken or egg problem.
