Early days but SU3 appears to deliver a significant improvement in performance and enjoyment to my excellent Reverb G2 so this is welcome news .

I’m using a G2 with WMR and OpenXR toolkit and am (naively?) hoping for a simple ability to just switch across, porting my settings and not causing any fuss.
(My current set up works beautifully and I’m nervous it’s a house of cards that could come crashing down..)

Excellent news, the “bad” news is that maybe I am going to install all the SO 24H2 from fresh in some days-weeks, if all work well, even I went from intel CPU to AMD without reinstalling haha, almost a year, but surprisingly it is working well haha
woohoo.. after initial GPU-headset disconnecting errors (after like 20 seconds) Matt advised to reinstall nvidia driver (with DDU) and reinstall steam VR. Did that. Wow - sharp image my fellow simmers! Very good performance without DLSS..
Well, I recently upgraded my Windows 11 to version 24H2 on my 3080TI machine. The installation of Windows took a bit, but the installation of Oasis was quite straightforward. However, if you want the controllers to work, you need to add them first in Bluetooth.
It’s great that the headsets are unbricked for those who had no choice or who upgraded to version 24H2 and encountered issues. Personally, I would probably stick with version 23H2 and Windows Mixed Reality (WMR) if given the choice. However, it’s difficult to determine if the improvements in system performance with version 24H2 would make a significant difference.
The experience was quite similar to Windows Mixed Reality. The headset has a very small sweet spot compared to the Meta Quest 3. It’s challenging to pinpoint the extent of the headset’s impact and the difference caused by the 4090 machine, as I don’t want to disrupt my VR connection with the MetaQuest link on my 4090 machine.
In conclusion, the Quest 3 provides a much better experience for me. However, I’m unsure how the G2 would perform with Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) cranked up a bit. I believe the blurriness of the HP headset would still be noticeable in comparison.
Your post is irrelevant really and you’re missing the point. You already have another working headset - great. Those of us with a G2 or similar are either stuck on 23H2 or have already updated and are without are working headset.
This amazing software solves that, gives us our G2 back and allows us to update the OS. And it’s free and works just as good if not seemingly slightly more smoothly than before.

Really struggling to get mine to work. I can get into VR in MSFS2020, but its running at around 1fps, I cant do anything, but openxr is reporting around 58fps.
you don’t need open XR … delete all that.. No open xr, no toolkit, no open xr configurator.. nothing like that. Uninstall your nvidia driver with DDU in safemode (if it doesn’t start, copy it to a USB stick and run it from there, while in safe mode). install the latest Nvidia driver. Don’t use a bloated driver installation, as some components that the Oasis driver needs, might not be installed. Re-install the Oasis driver. I had many issues too, but all good after I uninstalled all that was not required and re-installed SteamVR + Oasis driver + latest Nvidia driver! Good luck.
