When I first installed MSFS2024, I created a folder (C:_MSFS) and wanted the whole package to install in this one container. Over the course of SU1, SU2 and SU3, I now find files all over the place - the filightsimulator.exe finds intself alone on C:\users\xxx\appdata\limitless (or something close to this) all by itself and other files in other locations on the C: drive.
Is it possible to keep EVERYTHING in one custom folder and ensure that subsequent updates honor this location?
I’ve given up trying to understand how they spread files around.
Some files go where they want them to go, and some files go where I want them to go.
There are multiple instances of the same core files in different folders, and they magically update each other.
All I do is make sure that, when given a choice, the destination is the same as the last time I was given a choice.
Thanks for the quick reply. I guess it doesn’t matter to do a clean reinstall as updates will do what they want, unfortunately.
