ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Over the last few days, I’ve noticed that the maintenance costs have become extremely high. I ran a small experiment and ended up with a staggering maintenance bill of 45M after just 5 hours of flying, during which I earned around 20M.
Previously, the maintenance costs for the A330-200 were usually between 1M and 3M after 20+ hours of flight time.
I haven’t changed anything about the way I complete missions or operate the aircraft. My landings were perfect, so there are no landing gear maintenance costs. I really don’t understand how the other systems could have deteriorated so much, or whether there’s anything I can do to influence this, especially after only 5 hours of flying.

agree with this. We keep asking for the maintenance fee to be reduced and to be fairer.
I think this is related… Since the release of SU5, I have had to slowly sell some of my planes to keep others flying. I had at one point 168 planes, with probably 1/3rd of those being large jets. It is not uncommon for the a330 or 747-8 to have a single bill of 110 million. I am now down to 130 planes - only selling to pay for maintenance.
I have figured out that something has changed with the payouts regarding mission times. I don’t know if it relates to your ratio of income to maintenance fees, but I just discovered this last night/this morning quite literally by accident. Read below from another post I made:
It seems there has been an undocumented change in the way passive income is calculated. I haven’t figured out if it is based on a percentage of your active missions payout, or if it is based on the missions expected time or what exactly. If I fly a search and rescue helicopter mission that says it takes a half-hour, and it takes around that time, I am getting full payouts for my passive income. If I fly a 4 hour cargo mission, it pays out properly after my landing (though it isn’t paying out correctly if the game crashes or I lose network connectivity).
However, last night, when I landed, I hit CTRL-Shift-E to shut the engine down but apparently it didn’t take it. That sometimes happens to me, I usually check but apparently I didn’t. When I came back this morning it was still running. I hit it again and the mission stopped. It said it ran for 7 hours and 34 minutes. My passives all showed they ran the same amount of time. However, I now generally earn just under 1 million per minute but it only paid $92 million for 434 minutes! There are less planes between these two screenshots that are 2 weeks apart. The first one I earned $34 million in 27 minutes, well over 1 million per minute.
