Same boat just got the same error a couple of time. I canāt even access the menu that this error happens.
Win 11 64gb ram, I9 13900 with a 4090. No overclocking.
Really no idea why I unistalled at least 3 times
I delete cloud saves, and folders left behind after installation, also run a memory check of the ram with no issue I really donāt know.
Let see if it can be solved

Iāve seen this window about three times since launch. Got roughly 35 hours in. Last one happend today. But most of my crashes go without an errormessage.
Sometimes mine will crash, and I will not get the error window either.
I might try to delete everything out of my community folder.
Iāve been slowly putting things in, but canāt really narrow down if thatās the issue. I will investigate further and Iāll report back if I find anything that correlates to increased crashing.
This was a bug in 2020 which occurred when a PC was overclocked, usually the GPU.
If you have any overclocked parts then try running stock settings and see if it still crashes,
I only changed something in BIOS to get all of my RAM frequency, but didnāt oberclock it. Should that considered as source for this error too?
There is no way to know what is causing a non specific error so it is just an elimination process.
It is definitely worth resetting your bios/memory to default and seeing if that is what is causing the error because as I say, these sort of errors in 2020 were often due to overclocking or bios tweaks that were not an issue in other games.
For me it was a very mild overclock on my GPU that would cause a memory could not be read error but non default RAM settings may also trigger it,
Just try everything at stock/default settings and see if the error recurs, at least then you will know it is either driver or software related and not your hardware triggering it.
I will give it a try, Microsoft support wrote me to do this Hi Jivan,
Thank you for contacting Microsoft Flight Simulator Support today.
If you are having connectivity, crashing or loading issues after the hotfix was released, please flush your DNS cache to clear the old DNS records.
ipconfig /flushdns
and hit Enter
But didnāt help and I doubt it would.
I canāt even get to the menu it crashes never had this issue with MSFS 2020 if it crashes more repetedly a reinstall would fix the problem.
JIvan
Reinstall is very unlikely to fix the problem as it seems to be hardware or possibly driver related.
Let us know if resetting your bios to defaults worked as it will help others.
If not then it is a bit of rabbit hole.
But if you havenāt already. ensure your motherboard has latest chipset drivers and your GPU latest game ready driver.
If the problem is still there after all that then it likely a software/game bug that is causing it under certain game conditions with specific hardware which requires a patch.
Thanks to the community you way more supportive and helpfull than MSFS support staff. Anyway i will keep you posted I am running a memory check with the inbuild checker in Asus bios to see if I have issues with the ram and it has been running since morning, havenāt booted up since resentting the motherboard to default.
Finger crossed! But it never happened to me to have a software to blatantly CTD every start.
Jivan
I donāt think there is any issue with your hardware per se, just that MSFS2024 as a new (rushed) release is not especially stable and may cause errors under specific conditions on hardware that is not at stock settings or using the latest drivers.
You would probably not have the issue running another game.
Hope these suggestions fix your issue, good luck.
Nothing, still crashes even on the start page I just leave it not pressing anything and after a few minutes CTD. New bios, default mobo settings passed RAM to test with 0 errors, latest Nvidia drivers, only mouse and keyboard connected and still the issue persists, what a shame because I never had such an issue with any software not that I can remember.
Thanks for your help I will just wait for new updates.
Hello, I have exactly the same problem as
JMsoo8137 and I also did all the checks and modifications as he. I have 23.9 hours and I never managed to take off ,CDT before
Hello, I might have found a solution, it is still too early to say if is going to work long-term for the time being but I managed to reproduce the CTD thanks to the user
Upstate3090
He stated to disable Realtek and Sonic Studio, here below is how to do so
Disable/Uninstall the Realtek HD Audio driver in Device Manager:
I followed his instructions and I managed to get on the runway I havenāt taken off because I disconnected all my USB except mouse and keyboard but for the past 30min it has been going.
I then closed and reactivated Realtek and Sonic Studio and the CTD happened straight away not even reaching the press start point.
I believe the issue was introduced with the new update as for the first 2 days I had no CTD at all.
Hope it helps let me know.
Jivan
Thank you very much
it works I finally managed to make a flight
Well itās no more sound but I can finally meet
FS 2024
Hello, I am glad to hear that it sorted your issue too, try to switch to the Nvidia hdmi sound adapter if you have one otherwise I use speakers that connect via usb. Hopefully they will fix it soon I updated my support ticket with Microsoft.
Sorry I couldnāt help but at least you eliminated it being your computer hardware.
Glad you have found the issue though.
Hopefully there will be a first much needed patch soon.
I donāt have Realtek HD Audio.
Hello, thank you for your help and suggestions anyway Iāve done my first flight with the Fenix 319 around 2 hours plus preparation, now doing a flight to nowhere just to stretch the lenght I can keep the sim open doing multiple flights so far so good.
