Enjoy, guys. I’ve been flying this beautiful aircraft since the PC release, done about 20+ flights and the howl always sends serotonin down to my body. It will never get old.
Just done a couple of taxi runs so far and wow it sounds fantastic…are there any YouTube tutorials anyone can recommend?
I’ve been flying it using the elite 2 controller since it released on PC with no problems mate
Does the Vulcan auto trim its self or is this still a manual process in the sim version (xbox), find my self having to use -27% to keep the nose down on cruise power at about 90% throttles, enjoying the Vulcan and any help/tips or advice most welcome.
Cheers
Just Flight have knocked it out of the park with the Vulcan. Only had time for a 10 minute flight around my local area, “cheated” and used the ready for take off setting but WOW! Those 201’s sound amazing! She flew great, easy to trim out, and landing was just enjoyable.
Looking forward to running through the proper startup and getting to grips with everything Just Flight has offered us in this magnificent machine!
Have tried following both in game and pad checklists and cant get the thing started. I can’t find many of the items.
I learned from the manual and Just Flight tutorial videos:
This looks like an aircraft that deserves a purchase, JF actually makes an effort across platforms and create brilliant aircraft at reasonable prices for the full package, unlike some developers that have high marked up prices for crippled aircraft on the Xbox and have to pay extra for liveries. No need to mention the developer.
Not sure who you are thinking of here but, yes, I agree that JF have done a very good job here with the Vulcan and priced it very reasonably too.
Hi agreed fantastic effort on JFs part, re trim do you mins me asking have you assigned a trim wheel or buttons for the trim adjustment?
Wow! What an aircraft, this is up there with the very best on MSFS. Good job Just Flight.
The Vulcan takes off, flys and lands like a dream.
No problems so far on Xbox with my V1 Flight.
My trim wheel works fine I just had to reverse the axis.
What do people use to fly ? A flight stick or yolk.
Back in 1955 at the Farnborough airshow the Avro test pilot Roly Faulk rolled the Vulcan like a fighter, there’s a clip on Utube. I have tried this a few times and I get the overstressed airframe. Has anyone tried this yet or is it not simulated ? The test pilot new what he was doing but I don’t !
Using the V1 flight stick on Xbox also had to reverse the trim axis on that but works very well.
Don’t even know if you use trim on the Vulcan as it’s different being a Big Delta but it works OK
I was wondering that myself but a little more practice today and using the trim wheel does work , if i recall on the Concorde being a delta it is trimmed via the fuel being transferred fwd/aft.
The g limits are 0-2 g, so the trick for display flying is to go extremely slow, ie below 200 knots.
The rolls were done at low speed and light weight, also they had special dispensation to increase the G limits by a small margin and after every display involving rolls the wing leading edge nose ribs were visually checked.
I’ve just done a few rolls, it’s definitely achievable but remember to start with a very steep climbing angle (as in those videos you’ve seen) and pull gently to maintain positive G throughout.
Hey guys, i cant Seem to get the ias and Mach hold to work proberbly, could one of you define the procedure?
Thanks
It flyes like a Dream with the Xbox controller
Thanks I’m determined to roll the Vulcan, plenty of airframes to stress. How do you close the drag chute doors when it has been jettisoned??
