Brief description of the issue:

In several places of the world, the satellite map is replaced by the coarse offline landclass textures. I flew these places in the past months and they had then the sat imagery. These are not spot replacements but very large swathes of land.

Hi @DominiqueKL,

Thank you for the post! This issue is well known by the team though we know it is a very disruptive one. When LOD is missing from the satellite imagery, the sim injects texture to prevent a white or empty tile on the grid. Unfortunately, this cause issues like your screenshot above and won’t be fixed until we are able to update the area with higher LOD from the imagery provided.

Thanks for the answer and the insight. Good to know it has been noted by the team.

What worries me a bit though, is that in some places the imagery was good enough few months back. For instance, I have flown the Kabul-Jalalabad route ( a famous historical retreat took place here in the 19th century) and the terrain was then satellite-based.

In other words, there has been a degradation.
