The Right Stuff

I just want to have a thought for one of the last post-war heroes who tamed the then unknown territories of high-speed, high-altitude aerodynamics.
It was people like them who made it possible for today’s pilots to fly safely.
Chuck Yeager’s passing is one of the last signs of the end of this era, and some, like me, will regret that aviation is no longer an adventure, but more often an industry, or a service. The majority of the population can only be satisfied with it, nostalgia does not reach those for whom the plane is only a public transport.

It is one of those alumni (far from being as famous as Chuck Yeager) who taught me how to fly, and who passed on to me the passion of aviation. The large and active Flight Simulator community proves to me that despite the crowded air terminals, or the cost index reigning in the cockpits, flying still makes many people dream.

Last of the great American REAL heroes… God speed Chuck Yeager, always at the top of the pyramid.
