The Roads Less Traveled is back with a legendary classic, US-101! We will fly down the west coast from Olympia to Los Angeles, seeing all the incredible sights along the way. Every leg will be incredibly scenic, with a narrated historical overview, pictures, and plenty of photo opportunities. Tonight is no exception as we will explore Olympia, the Hood Canal, and Port Angeles, with detours to Olympic National Park and one other TBA. Our aircraft of choice for this season will be the Cessna 170B, a beautiful, classic tailwheel aircraft evolved from the 170 (1948), built from 1948 to 1956, and the direct predecessor to the ubiquitous 172. I have both the Carenado 170 and the free Backcountry 170 from flightsim to. You are welcome to fly either or anything else!

The Roads Less Traveled series is a trip down America’s back roads - the US Highways, border to border, coast to coast. Each of these Wednesday night group flights includes virtual tourism and a narrated history of the area through which we fly. In order to get the ”rollin’ down the highway” perspective, we fly low and follow the roads. We will use real-world weather until we can’t maintain VFR; ATC procedures and airspace are mostly ignored so we can focus on adventure, discovery, and fun, while still doing pilot stuff!
