6/7/23 - Series 6, Day 3 - Canadian Detour through Montreal and Ottawa!
As we continue our “portage” from the eastern segment of US-2 to the Western, we visit some major cities and landmarks in Canada. Tonight we will take part in the second half of our Montreal tour, then fly up the Ottawa river to Canada’s capital. Many, many points of interest and great learning opportunities - I know this American has been enamored since diving into the history of the area!

The Roads Less Traveled series is a trip down America’s back roads - the US Highways, border to border, coast to coast. Each of these group flights includes virtual tourism and a narrated history of the area through which we fly. In order to get the ”cruisin’ down the highway” perspective, we fly low and follow the roads. We will use real-world weather until we can’t maintain VFR; ATC procedures and airspace are mostly ignored so we can focus on adventure, discovery, and fun, while still doing pilot stuff!
