Hey hey, our “portage” through Canada connecting the eastern segment of US-2 to the Western reaches its conclusion tonight as we follow the Ottawa and Mattawa Rivers westward to North Bay, Sudbury, and Sault Saint Marie. The geography, history, and strategic military value of the area is interesting and there are a lot of points of interest (and pics to go along with them), plus multiple areas to land our seaplanes and a few surprises.
