Fly along with us tonight as we fly our AT-6 Texans down Highway 90 into San Antonio, one of the largest cities in the US. We will talk about the city’s rich history and relationship with the military, with plenty of sights along the way. Fly along, chat, lurk, see you there!
The Roads Less Traveled series is a trip down America’s back roads - the US Highways, border to border, coast to coast. Each of these group flights includes virtual tourism and a narrated history of the area through which we fly. In order to get the ”cruisin’ down the highway” perspective, we fly low and follow the roads. We will use real-world weather until we can’t maintain VFR; ATC procedures and airspace are mostly ignored so we can focus on adventure, discovery, and fun, while still doing pilot stuff!
For those more interested in real-world scenarios with ATC, full flight planning and execution, I lead those on Friday evenings at 7p/10e.
