The Sim does not recognize the Xbox controller

Greetings everyone, I need a little help. I installed this Recent Simulator on my PC from the Xbox Game Pass App, the Simulator does not want to Recognize the Xbox Controller, when I connect my Xbox Control either by USB cable or by Bluetooth, goodbye to the Simulator because the Game closes completely and sends me to the Home page of my Laptop.

What is the solution? I tried to install another game from Game Pass and no problem occurs with the Control, it only occurs with Blessed Flight Simulator.

Of course it does, and the Problem continues, I have even tried to uninstall and update the Control Driver, but it only happens with Flight Simulator, with other games I don’t have any problems.

I use a usb connected Xbox controller mainly to fly the drone camera around. I noticed MSFS recently stopped recognizing this controller entirely. It does work normally in other games. I have tried removing everything from my community folder, rebooting, plugging it into other usb ports, disconnecting all other controllers, updating the driver, etc., all without success. Has anyone else run into this issue lately? I’ve noticed the issue seems to crop up periodically but I haven’t found a solution posted yet. There was a recent MSFS mandatory update. Thanks for any help.

I finally realized this issue, for me, was caused by the vjoy driver I installed for use with the Authentikit Tuning App.

The following is the procedure I used on Windows 11 based on the many posts I read about removing vjoy. I don’t have links to the original posts.

Go to Settings → Apps → Installed apps and uninstall the vjoy app. Alternatively, you can run the original vjoy app installer and it will remove the installed app before reinstalling it: simply cancel the re-installation. Then remove the driver by deleting it at c:\Windows\System32\drivers\vjoy.sys

Plug in the USB Xbox Controller, go to Device Manager and look in Human Interface Devices for HID-compliant game controllers. Double click on each to open their Properties, select the Driver tab and click on Update Driver. Repeat for each game controller in the list. The one for the Xbox controller should update and MSFS should once again recognize the device.

I have started having this problem too. The controller is not recognized by the sim on startup, but I did find that unplugging and plugging it back in would cause it to show up in that session. It will not persist to subsequent sessions and I have to repeat the process. I was afraid it would remove my custom profiles as well, but thankfully those were restored.

I have no idea what vjoy is, so doubt I have it. I’ll check your steps the next time I’m on and see if anything changes.

Weird, the sim decided to start recognizing the controller for me today without me changing anything. I guess time will tell if it remains working again.
